Koukyu Nishikigoi = High Class Koi
Nishikigoi = The Japanese for Koi (nish-kee-goy)
Magoi = Black Carp (mah-goy)
Niigata = Place in Japan
Tategoi = A Koi with great potential (taty-goy)
Tosai = 1 year old Koi
Nisai = 2 year old Koi
Sansai = 3 year old Koi
Dangara = Stepped Patterns
Ippon hi = Continuous red pattern
Nidan = 2 Step Marking
Sandan = 3 Step Marking
Yondan = 4 Step Marking
Godan = 5 Step Marking
Maruten = Spot on head
Kuchibeni = Lipstick
Inazuma = Lightning shape
Kiwa= the edge of a marking
